Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting to the Tax Director, this key leadership role will involve managing a team of three and collaborating closely with colleagues across audit, compliance, and advisory teams. Key responsibilities include:
* Team Leadership – Lead and develop a VAT team, ensuring technical excellence and delivery of key deadlines
* Strategic VAT Advisory – Provide high‑level VAT planning and consultancy services to clients across various industries
* Portfolio Management – Oversee a broad and interesting VAT client portfolio with exposure to local and international issues
* Audit Support – Manage and coordinate responses to VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities
* Process Optimisation – Enhance internal VAT processes, controls, and reporting to drive efficiency
* Internal Education – Lead training and mentoring initiatives across the wider business on VAT matters
* Global Network Engagement – Collaborate with international VAT experts and contribute to cross‑border projects
* Board Reporting – Present VAT updates and insights to the UHY Board and senior leadership
