Director of Nursing - DON
for our Nursing Home inLaois.
Responsibilities
From patient admissions to release, oversee and manage every stage of the HSE rehabilitation bed project.
Oversee daily operations to guarantee the nursing home's rehabilitation services are delivered smoothly.
Make sure that every activity is in compliance with the project schedules and the contractual commitments that have been agreed upon.
Establish and preserve a solid working rapport with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), which consists of representatives from the fields of nursing, medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, and HSE.
To guarantee efficient communication and cooperation, serve as a crucial point of contact for internal teams, the HSE, and outside partners.
Encourage and support a culture of shared accountability and teamwork among all the disciplines that make up the care pathway.
Create, monitor, and report on weekly KPIs to keep an eye on patient outcomes, performance, and contract compliance.
Requirements
NMBI General Division Registered Nurse
Experience in a nursing home or other setting that provides care for elderly people is highly preferred.
A minimum of five years of nursing experience is required, with at least three of those years spent in a leadership or management role.
Excellent clinical expertise and demonstrated leadership abilities
Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
thorough understanding of elder care best practices and HIQA guidelines
