Job Description
Murphstew Catering Ltd (part of the Supermac's Franchise) is entering a new phase of strategic growth, focused on strengthening operational foundations, enhancing systems, and expanding its market presence.
Our goal is to establish a scalable, consistent, and high-performing business model across all franchised locations.
To support this, we are seeking a Business Development & Operations Manager with both strategic insight and operational excellence.
This key leadership role will drive profitability, improve efficiency, and identify new commercial opportunities while developing high-performing teams across our franchise network.
Reporting to the Franchisee and working closely with the Area Manager, the Business Development & Operations Manager will take ownership of both operational and strategic delivery across multiple locations.
This role blends commercial strategy with hands-on leadership — ensuring that each store operates with discipline, consistency, and customer focus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing margins, workforce planning, and cost optimisation, while implementing business development initiatives and future-focused systems that enhance scalability and profitability.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and oversee the commercial and operational performance of multiple stores, driving growth, efficiency, and profitability.
Develop and implement strategies to optimise cost structures, workforce utilisation, and store performance.
Identify and deliver new revenue opportunities to offset increasing operational costs.
Introduce and champion technologies and systems that enhance automation and operational consistency.
Ensure full compliance with company standards, HACCP, and quality benchmarks.
Mentor, develop, and empower store managers to build capability and accountability within their teams.
Support and guide marketing initiatives with a focus on digital engagement and brand growth.
Collaborate with Head Office on strategic planning, feasibility assessments, and business expansion projects.
