About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished
Health and Safety Executive
to lead and oversee all Health, Safety, and Wellbeing functions across their expanding portfolio of data centre projects. Based in Dublin, this is an office-based role with regular international travel to project sites across Europe and beyond.
This is a senior leadership position, equivalent to
Head of Health & Safety
, where you will drive a strong safety culture, provide expert guidance to the executive team, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, client standards, and global best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership on all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters across international data centre projects.
* Develop, implement, and manage HSE systems, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Irish and international legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
* Oversee audits, inspections, and risk assessments across office and project environments.
* Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventative actions are delivered.
* Act as the principal contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
* Deliver training, awareness campaigns, and engagement programmes to promote a proactive safety culture.
* Advise senior leadership on safety performance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
* Support project teams through all phases of mobilisation, execution, and close-out.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
* Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent is essential.
* At least 10 years' senior HSE experience, ideally within
data centre, high-tech, or large-scale construction environments
.
* Strong working knowledge of Irish legislation and international standards (ISO 45001, OSHA, EU directives).
* Demonstrated ability to shape and implement HSE strategies across multiple geographies.
* Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally as required.
