About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Storeperson / Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts Department at Des Hughes Motors, Portlaoise.
This is a varied role that involves managing incoming stock, supporting trade and retail parts sales, and working closely with our service team to ensure the smooth running of our workshop and counter operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, check, and store incoming stock deliveries
* Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with regular stocktakes
* Process orders and manage parts sales to retail, trade, and workshop customers
* Handle telephone and counter enquiries in a professional manner
* Liaise with suppliers and distributors (Toyota, Fiat, Fiat Pro & Jeep) regarding back orders and parts availability
* Prepare and issue parts invoices and delivery documentation
* Support workshop technicians with parts requests and daily job allocations
* Maintain a clean and organised parts store
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a motor trade parts department or similar automotive role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Basic computer literacy (experience with Autoview, Microcat, Keyloop, Linkentry an advantage)
* A proactive and hands-on attitude
* Full clean driving licence
