Purpose
The purpose of this position is to deliver the project KPI's for Delivery, Quality, Safety, Cost and Customer Service Excellence through effective management of the site construction team and interface with the client, partners and sub-contractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
Scope
* Manages the site construction team at site to deliver the requirements of the project specific contract accepted at ITO to OTR handover.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Leads the development, management, and safe implementation of construction strategy, execution plan, and schedule delivery, to integrate with the overall project programme.
* Understands all project related Safe Systems of Work, isolation and permit requirements to identify actions which may result in a violation of such systems, escalate risks and issues to the Project Director when necessary.
* Oversees production of, and approves all construction documents including; risk assessments, procedures, method statements and work packs.
* Ensures construction activities comply with Health, Safety, Security and Environmental standards of the project and relevant laws by working with the site Health & Safety Manager and the site discipline leads..
* Drives continuous improvement of compliance monitoring to define pre-emptive actions.
* Ensures Quality Assurance, integrity and consistency of all construction activities.
* Works with site Quality Manager to ensure communication and implementation of site quality plan.
* Ensures through work planning processes that suitable and sufficient resources are available for all construction activities to achieve necessary milestones.
* Provide daily leadership and management of the site construction team in order to maintain construction team focus and momentum to support the programme.
* Supports the Project Director in enforcement of contract Terms & Conditions through interactions with contract executives and site supervisor.
* Interfaces with client management to ensure consistently favourable outcomes.
* Monitors Project Schedule and establish and communicate clear short term and medium goals required to achieve Project Schedule Goals.
* Reports Daily, Weekly, Monthly the Project Execution status to Project Director
* Maintains daily log of significant site activities, progress and events.
* Supports the Project Director & Project Controls Manager in assessing; schedule, budget, cost forecasts, change orders, project risks and all related potential claims.
* Attends daily planning meetings, follows actions and drives schedule deliverables.
* Works with site discipline managers to manage staff, partners, sub-contractors.
