Overview
Our client is a highly regarded Irish mechanical and electrical contractor with a turnover of circa €70 million. Operating across Ireland, they deliver high-spec building services solutions across commercial, corporate, and mixed-use projects. Known for their technical excellence and commitment to quality, they have delivered complex M&E installations for major global clients, including numerous multinational offices in Dublin’s city centre. Much of their work is repeat business, reflecting strong relationships with multinationals, developers and design teams. They are looking to add an engineer / supervisor to their team with a view to becoming a Project Manager. The role will involve working closely with the Project Manager in all aspects of running a job.
About Your New Job
As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with supervisors, site managers, project managers and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical works. You will report into the Project Manager on this job. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily works from an engineering point of view, ensuring quality control, and managing the day-to-day operations on-site.
Responsibilities
Develop a daily action plan that includes HSEQ.
Assist the project team in expediting major equipment deliveries.
Maintain a site diary.
Attend/Chair internal meetings with sub-contractors.
Ensure that all variations are picked up in conjunction with PM and QS.
Ensure labour allocation sheets are completed by sub-contractors.
What Skills & Requirements You Need
Candidates will hold a construction or electrical engineering related degree. You will have experience working in a building services role for an M&E contractor, Main Contractor or an M&E Consultancy. A good knowledge of electrical services is required for this role. Candidates from a trade background will be considered and paid in accordance to their rates.
What’s on Offer
The salary for this role starts at €45K for engineers and €60,000 for trade qualified candidates. There is a benefits package that includes pension, performance related bonus, etc. Their main attraction to this role is a fast track route to becoming a project manager; the company has a track record in taking on engineers/supervisors with potential and developing them into project managers.
