Supplier Quality Engineer /Supplier Quality Graduate, MRB Controller & Incoming Insp. Technicians
Key Objectives
* Oversee the Supplier Quality function encompassing:
o Incoming Inspection/Sampling/Dock to stock
o Supplier 'in-process' performance
o MRB/RTV
* Supplier Selection and Approval
* Effective Supplier Management
* Evaluate the quality and integrity of incoming materials from all suppliers, maximizing yields while minimizing production fails and scrap.
Responsibilities
* Appraise, select, approve, and manage suppliers
* Strategically manage key suppliers and sub-contractors
* Conduct supplier audits, ratings, development, and improvement initiatives
* Create, analyze, report, and improve supplier quality metrics
* Review and approve AVL change requests
* Promote corrective and preventative actions among suppliers for quality improvements
* Manage the Incoming Inspection area
* Maximize the quality of incoming materials by minimizing dependence on Incoming Inspection through appropriate sampling techniques
* Perform first-article assessments for new products, including components, sub-assemblies, and material
* Lead MRB analysis and follow-up activities
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality
Quality Assurance
* Maintain ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
Health and Safety
* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation and regulations
Performance Metrics
* Supplier scorecards and audits
* Timely closure of supplier corrective actions
* Material-related yield and scrap rates
* Overall line yields and efficiencies related to material
Personnel Specifications
Essential Qualifications
* NFQ Level 7 Degree/Diploma in a Science or Engineering Field
* Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar supplier quality engineering role within the electronic manufacturing industry
* Experience/training in supplier auditing
* Proven problem-solving skills and effective utilization of analytical techniques
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Flexibility to travel as required
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience working in a Medical Device Manufacturing Environment
* Ability to speak German
* Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
* Experience in medium to high volume electronic production
* Knowledge of New Product Introduction Processes
* Certified Quality Auditor
