Job Title: Financial Support Specialist (Fixed Term 10-12 Months)
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to join our team on a fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. A background in accounts or finance is preferred, but recent graduates with relevant qualifications and practical experience are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to ensure the smooth running of financial operations, supporting the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
This includes:
* Managing credit control processes to ensure timely customer payments
* Handling customer invoicing queries and processing debit notes
* Entering and processing purchase invoices accurately
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Performing bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
* Raising and managing accounts payable queries with suppliers
* Compiling accruals and prepayments reports and posting them to the accounting system
Key Responsibilities:
* Credit Control Management: Manage credit control processes to ensure timely customer payments
* Invoicing and Payments: Handle customer invoicing queries and process debit notes
* Purchase Invoices: Enter and process purchase invoices accurately
* Supplier Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
* Accounts Payable: Raise and manage accounts payable queries with suppliers
* Reporting: Compile accruals and prepayments reports and post them to the accounting system
Support Responsibilities:
* Cost Reduction Strategies: Collaborate with the Management Accountant on cost reduction strategies
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures within the Finance Department
* Financial Support: Provide financial support to various business departments as needed
* Ad Hoc Duties: Perform ad hoc duties to support the wider Finance function
