My Client is looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Underwriter to deliver high-quality service to their underwriters and brokers. This role is essential to supporting their Commercial Master Package team, aligned with their ambitious growth plans across the UKI and Mid-Market sectors. The successful candidate will manage a book of Irish business, transacted through our E-Trade platform and Open Market, and will be responsible for underwriting Package and Monoline business, including UKI and Multinational Property, Casualty, and Global Terrorism.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Underwrite and process renewable Mono Property and Package business, in accordance with underwriting guidelines, authority limits, and the business plan.
2. Manage new and existing business referrals through our E-Trade platform via the Master Package Product.
3. Engage in meetings with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders, both in-person and virtually.
4. Coordinate the placement of Multinational Programs through our Global Network.
5. Ensure compliance with company standards for policy documentation, quotation timeframes for new and renewal business, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
6. Operate within the framework of the company's Code of Conduct, compliance policies, peer review processes, and established protocols.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in the insurance market, with a strong interest in developing Property & Casualty expertise in a dynamic environment.
2. Ability to apply a practical and common-sense approach to varied situations and effectively solve problems under tight deadlines.
3. Interest in working with Multinational programs.
4. Minimum education requirement: Leaving Cert standard.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
6. "On-the-job" training will be provided, which may include working in other offices.
7. Eager to begin or continue progress towards CII qualifications.
