Overview
National Account Manager role with a leading global FMCG organisation, based in Ireland. This newly created role focuses on the Convenience and Forecourt channel in Ireland, working with the UK team to develop and execute a long‑term strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Full ownership and accountability of the Irish convenience trade (c-stores and forecourts), including day-to-day account management.
* Full P&L management including forecasting and delivery of monthly sales and profit targets.
* Develop a 3-year strategic plan for the Convenience and Forecourt channel.
* Build strong relationships with Buyers and senior buyers, and manage challenging conversations to arrive at collaborative outcomes.
* Collaborate with the UK Managed Convenience team and UK Head of Grocery Convenience to distil a plan for Irish convenience retailers using market insights.
* Implement the plan using negotiation skills, creativity and energy.
* Set high standards for internal reporting and performance reviews.
* Conduct store visits and report on competitor activity and adjacent categories to build winning plans.
Key Requirements
* Proven 3–5 years FMCG experience at a NAM level in the Irish convenience/retail sector; able to handle tough conversations.
* Ability to generate insights from data sources such as Nielsen and Kantar and translate into category-driving recommendations.
* Driven, creative and able to challenge the status quo internally and externally.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team toward common goals.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, opportunity‑driven mindset.
