The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, designing, and implementing improvements to IT operations and business processes, leveraging ITIL best practices and driving transformation across IT Operations and where required in other areas of the firm.This role requires strong analytical skills, an in-depth understanding of ITIL methodology and excellent project management skills.The successful candidate is a team player, embedded within the IT operations team who will collaborate very closely with a variety of key stakeholders in the firm and will require to demonstrate strong business/technical acumen and excellent communication skills.The successful candidate should have a track record of navigating through the complexities of introducing and implementing changes in technology and demonstrate a clear understanding of the impact on IT infrastructure/operations, business processes and applications.Key responsibilities of the role include requirements gathering, impact analysis, process design and optimisation and co-ordinating communication between multiple stakeholders across IT and the wider firm. The successful candidate will contribute strongly in the selection and successful implementation of a new suite of IT applications/tools.Reporting to: Head of IT Operations, Infrastructure and SecurityKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with various stakeholders to conduct in-depth analysis and mapping of the existing “AS-IS” IT operations business processes by facilitating/conducting discovery workshops and interviews.Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement, including automation, and align the future IT operations processes with ITIL best practice.Develop and design "TO-BE" processes, including impact analysis of the proposed changes on business processes, technology, workflows and the wider firm, eliciting requirements and validation from stakeholders that the new processes meet the requirements.Analyse and define priorities within the firm and technical contexts and translate business requirements into technical specifications for the new IT toolset including data mapping, process flows, and system integrations.Support the selection and implementation of new IT toolset - e.g., ITSM, Asset management, Digital Experience Monitoring (aka DEM) -, supporting users' participation in deployments and implementation activities.Establish documentation standards/templates and draft comprehensive documentation for all configured processes, business requirements, process flows and Standard Operating procedures (SOPs).Serve as a bridge between IT teams and the firm’s stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of status, risks, and issues in a precise and timely manner.Supporting the Project Manager and the various teams in delivering the projects on time and on-budget ensuring that both business requirements and quality standards are met.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEssential:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.At least 5 years’ experience in as an business analyst with proven experience supporting digital transformation programmes.Robust understanding of ITIL principles and practices is essential in combination with some experience of core ITIL processes such as Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, and Request Management.Knowledge of business processes and workflows, and how to optimize them using technology solutions.Relevant Industry certifications: ECBA, CCBA, etc. highly desirable.ITIL Foundation or similar service management qualification.Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma and/or Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools an advantage.Relevant industry certifications – i.e. Microsoft Cloud – also beneficial.Soft skills:Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills written and verbal in English (individual or group) to enable effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.Ability to complete assignments with minimal direction.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good organisational and time management skills.BenefitsCompetitive salary25 days annual leaveLeading hybrid working policyImmediate pension schemeFull gym and wellness programmeWide-ranging opportunities for involvement in internal committees
