Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering projects across multiple regions. This is a hands‑on role involving site coordination, quality management, and close collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and high‑quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Review contract documentation, specifications, and mechanical design drawings to ensure full contractual and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate, monitor, and inspect mechanical works on site in line with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Prepare technical reports and clearly document conformance and non‑conformance issues for internal review and resolution.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet required quality and safety standards.
Verify project measures and scopes prior to commencement of construction in line with the approved programme.
Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure smooth transition into the commissioning period.
Monitor quality, progress, EHS performance, and third‑party inspections, reporting on delays or risks as required.
Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries/day books.
Assist in maintaining project budgets and ensuring delivery in line with agreed timelines, costs, and quality expectations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders, promoting clear communication and teamwork.
Travel regularly across operational regions as required to support project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry or site‑based experience.
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, codes, and regulations.
Solid working knowledge of mechanical systems, components, materials, and construction methods.
Good IT skills, with experience using common engineering and reporting tools.
Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, demonstrate initiative, and provide leadership on site.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with a practical, solution‑focused mindset.
