AtkinsRealis is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.
We are seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer for a road / cycling / active travel scheme in Ratoath, Co. Meath for an estimated 12 to 18 months, starting construction in Summer 2024.
Job summary and desirable skills / attributes:
* Level 7 Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in supervising & administering Public Works Contracts for Civil Engineering Works during construction.
* Proficient in relevant software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office programs.
* Experience supervising and inspecting the construction of roadworks, including pavement, drainage, ducting, signage, lighting, etc., is preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Experience in record keeping and reporting on contractor’s progress is preferred.
* Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, using own initiative to meet project goals.
* Knowledge of current H&S regulations and best practices.
* Full driving license and valid SafePass.

* Flexible approach with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

* Self-motivated, capable of working alone or as part of a team.
Terms and Conditions:
* Competitive salary based on experience.
* A vehicle will be provided during the project.
* 25 days annual leave, with an option to purchase an additional 5 days.
* Working hours of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with possible weekend and night work if required.
