About the role
Working as part of the Service division based in the Republic of Ireland, you will be responsible for servicing medical devices in acute hospitals, long‑term nursing units, private homes and charitable organisations. You will manage your own stock, travel as required and maintain a company van and IT equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out service itinerary in accordance with company and service procedures, whilst optimising use of time and minimising associated costs.
Ensure full knowledge of products, company and local health and safety requirements, and carry out work on customer premises in a professional and safe manner.
Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.
On arrival at customer premises, inform staff of reason for visit and request permission before carrying out required work; upon completion, ensure the area is clean and tidy and dispose of parts and chemicals according to site instructions.
Provide feedback and ideas for product and service improvement.
Maintain personal appearance, hygiene and health to an exemplary standard.
Maintain tools, spares and equipment in safe condition and report any unsafe condition to line manager.
Liaise with Arjo Service Admin and customer contacts to advise appointment times and duration.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience in a similar service engineer role.
City and Guilds / NFQ Level 6 or higher, or equivalent mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
Mechanical/electrical engineering experience – essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and competent computer skills.
Customer‑focused, flexible and able to motivate others.
Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working at heights and using power tools.
Willingness to travel and spend overnight stays in various locations within ROI.
Full driving licence – mandatory for company van operation.
Garda Vetting check will be carried out (cost covered by Arjo).
Additional Requirements
Applicants must live within a reasonable distance to the area covered.
Participation on an out‑of‑hours rota is required.
