As a Project Manager (Energy), you will lead the delivery of energy and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within scope, and on budget. You’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and provide strategic input into project planning and execution.
This is a key client-facing role for someone with strong technical understanding of the energy sector and proven experience managing complex projects within a consultancy or utilities environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the delivery of energy and infrastructure projects (renewables, grid, energy efficiency, or hydrogen).
* Act as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service delivery.
* Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental consultants, planners, and commercial specialists.
* Manage procurement, contracts, and project governance in line with company standards.
* Monitor project progress and financial performance, reporting regularly to senior management.
* Support business development activities, including bid writing and client presentations.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in engineering, energy, environmental science, or a related discipline.
* 5+ years’ experience managing projects in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
* Excellent communication and client management abilities.
* Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools.
* Knowledge of Irish energy policy, regulation, and market structures.
* Experience in renewable energy (wind, solar, battery, or hydrogen).
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Project Management Professional (PMP / PRINCE2) qualification.
* Experience working within a consultancy environment.
