Key Responsibilities:

* Work as part of the store's management team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
* Assist senior managers in overseeing the daily running of the busy store, including managing a team of up to 40 staff members.
* Conduct stock ordering and control, adhere to HACCP standards, and manage keyholder duties.
* Maintain product displays and ensure the highest quality products are presented across all departments.
* Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence within the store.
* Develop and implement effective staff training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Maintain security awareness and promote a safe working environment.

Main Duties:

1. Stock Management: Conduct regular stock checks, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to prevent inventory issues.
2. Team Leadership: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team members.
3. Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and provide personalized recommendations to drive sales and satisfaction.
4. Security Awareness: Ensure all staff members understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a secure store environment.
5. HACCP Compliance: Adhere to established HACCP protocols, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience as a trainee manager in a busy supermarket.
* Prior experience within a Super Valu/Centra store is desirable, but not essential.
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams.
* Familiarity with the retail grocery industry and current trends, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
