Job Opportunity: We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Specialist to join our team based in the West of Ireland. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the water and wastewater industry, with a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair.

About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to work on various water and treatment plants, carrying out mechanical installation and service of equipment. Key responsibilities include fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying mechanical faults and resolving them, as well as supervising onsite works.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out mechanical installation and service of all types of pumps, blowers, screens, gearboxes, and other mechanical assets.
* Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations and ability to carry out routine planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
* Clearly identify mechanical faults and identify how to resolve the fault, including identifying parts required.
* Evidence that tasks you have been assigned are completed should be presented to the relevant person running the job.
* Responsible for organising shared equipment needed for carrying out specific jobs.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you will need to have a proven ability in fault finding and repair of mechanical equipment, including gearboxes and pumps. Experience with the installation and service of pumps, as well as working on mechanical plant in treatment sites, is essential. You must also demonstrate good organisational and interpersonal skills, and have a full EU/Irish driving licence.
