Vickerstock is working in partnership with a major construction distribution business to appoint a Purchasing Administrator.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that offers long-term career growth and the opportunity to progress to a buyer position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process purchase orders while monitoring, updating, and prioritizing orders to efficiently handle any outstanding items.
* Manage the timely fulfilment of back orders and stock requirements.
* Communicate with suppliers and vendors, maintaining strong working relationships.
* Research and identify new suppliers for the Procurement Manager.
* Monitor and report on stock levels, as well as manage materials orders.
* Support the purchasing team with stock-related administrative duties.
* Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
* Analyse past sales and raise orders with suppliers.
Requirements:
* 1 year's previous experience in a related position.
* Experienced Excel user, with previous SAP and/or Kerridge experience a bonus.
* Ability to work in a very busy environment.
* Ability to analyse and interpret data.
* Confident and clear communication skills.
