Orange Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator with strong technical expertise and a passion for precision to join our client's expanding Mechanical Engineering team in Dublin. As the Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for projects across sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and commercial developments. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and a trusted network of subcontractors, the Senior Mechanical Estimator will help ensure every tender submitted reflects the company's commitment to quality, value, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities: Prepare and manage detailed mechanical estimates for a diverse range of projects. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure all elements are accurately captured. Collaborate with design and project teams to develop cost-effective and buildable solutions. Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards. Support bid preparation and ensure all documentation aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 5+ years' experience in mechanical estimating, ideally within building services or related industries. Strong technical and analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail. Excellent communication and organisational abilities with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a project team. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. A collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
