Support Pharmacist
Schedule: Part Time 3/4 days per week. We require 3 days per week (currently Monday, Wednesday, Friday) with 1 Saturday per month (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday that week). We are open to discussing any changes to this rota. Extra ad-hoc days depending on pharmacy need may be requested but are subject to agreement with both parties. We are open 9-6 Mon-Fri and 9-5 on Saturday.
Contract: 6 months probation with a view to a permanent contract
We are looking to recruit an experienced support pharmacist for our busy, independent family owned community pharmacy in Glasnevin.
This is a part time pharmacist role and we are looking for a start date in November-December 2025. The successful applicant will be open to working 1 in 4 Saturdays. There will be no late nights, no Sundays or Bank Holidays. We run a 2-pharmacist dispensary so there is always an experienced pharmacist alongside you; we average around 300 items per day and we work with an OTC assistant. Touchstore is the dispensing system used. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team where double pharmacist cover is the norm.
What we're looking for:
The successful applicant's responsibilities will be to:
* work as part of a team with the role overseeing the day to day running of the dispensary alongside the Supervising/Superintendent Pharmacists
* dispense prescriptions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the pharmacy guidelines and SOPs in place to ensure accuracy and attention to detail
* maintain appropriate stock levels in the dispensary ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products
* oversee end of month claims and payments
* deliver expert advice by engaging actively with customers to encourage customer loyalty and confidence
* show excellent communication and motivational skills within the team
* have a strong professional ethos and commercial understanding

* Minimum 1 years' Relevant Pharmacy experience in Ireland is desirable
* PSI registered
* Some pharmacy supervision experience desirable

What we require:
* A minimum of 1 year experience in Community Pharmacy is desirable but not essential.
* The candidate must be qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
