The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist manages work in support of the Indirect Supply Management (ISM) organisation. We are seeking a candidate to join a team of global Category Managers for Facilities that thrives on building new opportunities, learns quickly, and makes a difference managing :$120M annual spend in utilities, sustainability, print, and environmental, health, & safety (EHS) subcategories.

Responsibilities
* Lead strategic sourcing projects related to facility services, building utilities (electricity, water, natural gas), sustainability initiatives, print, and EHS.
* Work closely with Enterprise Risk & Facilities organisation, Facility Managers, and other key stakeholders across Medtronic’s 150+ locations.
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies that will optimise Medtronic's position in terms of quality, response time, technology, risk, and total cost.
* Negotiate, establish, and monitor supplier agreements.
* Foster collaboration amongst peers, establish close relationships with stakeholders in a highly matrixed organisation, and influence decisions.
* Develop robust data gathering and quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency.
* Act as primary point of contact for supplier-related issues, escalations, and mitigation efforts.
* Provide project management and sourcing expertise.
Qualifications / Key Skills & Experience
* Requires a minimum Level 8 degree in a relevant discipline and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
* Prior experience leading multiple RFx events and contract negotiations.
* Procurement, strategic sourcing, and/or category management experience.
* Ability to manage and influence stakeholders.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
