The role
Clinical Operations Manager — Homecare (Dublin South)
Location: Dublin South | Type: Full-time, permanent | Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9–5, hybrid | Salary: Highly competitive — negotiable for the right candidate
This is a senior role reporting directly to the Managing Director. It's designed for someone who has built a strong clinical career — likely as a Clinical Nurse Manager or Clinical Operations Manager — and is ready to step into something broader without leaving healthcare behind.
The rare combination this role offers
Most senior healthcare roles force a choice: stay clinical and progress within the nursing structure, or leave the clinical side behind to move into management. This role refuses that choice.
You'll remain close to clinical governance, HIQA standards, safeguarding, and quality improvement — supporting CNMs, supervisors and care coordinators, and contributing to service design and complex case reviews.
Commercial Growth
At the same time, you'll lead the commercial growth of the business:
Shaping strategy across HSE, private and referral pathways
Building relationships with hospital discharge teams, Public Health Nurses, case managers and HSE commissioners
Identifying and securing new contracts, tenders and service lines
Representing the business at industry forums and networking events
You’ll work alongside the Director of Quality, Risk and Compliance on clinical governance, and directly with the MD on strategy and growth.
Work‑life balance
Senior clinical roles rarely come with a genuine work‑life balance. This one does.
Monday to Friday, 9 to 5
No on‑call, no weekend rotations
A direct reporting line to the Managing Director
For senior clinicians who still love the work but want their evenings and weekends back, that combination is genuinely rare.
Who we're looking for
A senior Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Operations Manager, or equivalent
Background in homecare, community care, nursing home management, or a related healthcare setting
Experience engaging with the HSE or similar public health systems
Natural commercial instinct — someone who enjoys the strategic and relational side of the business
Strong understanding of HIQA standards, referral pathways, and person‑centred care
A credible communicator who can hold their own with commissioners, consultants, and families alike
A clinical qualification is desirable but not essential
