Role contextAn opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the ROI Risk & Compliance Team as a Regulatory Relationship Consultant. The successful candidate will support the Regulatory Relationship Team in meeting Regulators\' requirements and expectations to achieve the Group\'s strategic objectives. This role will coordinate activity in support of regulatory relationships, such as information requests and supporting meetings.
Responsibilities
Work closely with team members to ensure regulator timelines are appropriate and achievable.
Develop a strong understanding of each regulatory relationship to help the business meet CBI expectations.
Coordinate thematic reviews and deep dives from the CBI, including information requests and interviews.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and priorities within the Group and with regulators to ensure appropriate engagement.
Liaise with the business to ensure Risk Mitigation Programmes (RMPs) issued by the CBI are completed and reported timely with clear ownership documented.
Produce qualitative and quantitative MI to support reporting to Boards and Committees.
Support the preparation of briefing packs for Board members and Executives who are required to meet the CBI.
Actively manage the controls framework for recording, logging and tracking regulatory engagement.
Coordinate activities to ensure CBI requirements deadlines are met to a high standard.
Provide note-taking support for regulator discussions and share high-quality summaries with senior management.
Support Compliance assurance reviews, agree management actions, and document results in assurance reports per the approved plan.
Support compliance consultancy across the business, covering queries, projects and initiatives, including controls within the Regulatory Compliance Policy and SEAR/IAF processes.
Demonstrate understanding of life and pensions products and the markets Standard Life operates in, and the relevant law and practices.
Display strong judgement, drive and ability to influence at all levels; manage stakeholders effectively; knowledge of Irish financial services regulatory context and CBI process/philosophy.
Possess relevant qualification in Legal, Financial or risk management or equivalent experience; highly developed verbal and written communication, negotiation and influencing skills; and strong organisational ability.
Fully proficient in software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Explorer).
Qualifications

Strong judgement, drive and ability to influence at all levels.
Good relationship and stakeholder management experience.
Knowledge of Irish financial services business and regulatory context; knowledge of CBI process and philosophy.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, negotiating and influencing skills.
Excellent organisational skills; ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be self-directing.
