An exciting opportunity exists for a project / Senior Engineer to join the delivery team for the New National Maternity Hospital (NMH), one of the largest and most significant healthcare infrastructure projects in Ireland.
The NMH is being developed on the St Vincent’s University Hospital campus at Elm Park, Dublin 4, and will replace the existing Holles Street Maternity Hospital. The project is of major national importance and will deliver a state-of-the-art maternity facility serving women and families across Ireland.
Role Summary
You will support the senior project management and engineering team in the planning, coordination, and delivery of this complex healthcare project. The role will provide exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to delivery and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day project management and engineering coordination activities
Support programme development, sequencing, and progress tracking
Coordinate with designers, contractors, and stakeholders during the PCSA phase
Assist with management of enabling works and early construction activities
Support risk identification, reporting, and mitigation measures
Assist with document control, reporting, and compliance requirements
Attend project meetings and contribute to technical and programme discussions
Ensure health & safety, quality, and governance standards are upheld
Candidate Profile
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Experience or strong interest in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
Strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team
Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to develop within a major capital project environment
