We are currently hiring a Cardiac Physiologist for our hospital in Cork, Ireland .
Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist (Basic Senior Grade) Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available Responsibilities Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac investigations such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
Assist in invasive cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterisation, pacemaker implantation, and electrophysiology studies.
Monitor patients during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy of results.
Analyse and report cardiac data to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Prepare and calibrate cardiac diagnostic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all findings are documented in line with clinical standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and providing reassurance.
Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
Adhere to infection control, health safety policies, and professional guidelines at all times.
Participate in quality improvement, audits, and ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery.
Requirements Be an Associate Member of the Society for Cardiological Science and Technicians (or equivalent professional body).
Hold an approved qualification for practice in cardiac physiology (as per recognised standards).
Possess a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science or an equivalent qualification.
Alternatively, hold a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (for those qualified prior to ****).
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to patient needs.
Exhibit excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high workload.
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Communicate clearly and professionally in all clinical interactions.
Demonstrate strong IT and technical skills relevant to the role.
