OverviewSenior Electrical / Mechatronics Engineer – Full TimeAs a Senior Engineer, you will take technical and operational ownership of complex weighing projects, from design to commissioning. This is a hands-on role involving system design and documentation, equipment assembly, FAT/SAT, and on-site commissioning. You will supervise and support a small team of engineers and technicians, ensuring quality and timely delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations. You will also contribute to the development of a Force Calibration Unit (FCU) system as a major innovation project for the business.Close collaboration with the Projects Manager, Software Team, and Senior Management is central to this role, with frequent interaction with customers. Kildare, with occasional site work.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and test weighing systems as part of the Projects TeamSupervise a workshop team of engineers/technicians and coordinate tasksQuality control to ensure systems meet engineering, safety, and compliance standardsDesign and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and single-line diagrams for industrial systemsCreate detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD (or similar) in compliance with company and industry standardsTake technical and operational ownership of complex weighing and driver-operated system projects from design to commissioningRequirementsThird-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering (minimum level 8)3+ years of relevant experienceFull driving licenseEligible to work in IrelandAbility to manage multiple concurrent projectsKnowledge of construction techniques and ability to read schematics and drawingsUnderstanding of industrial control panelsExperience with low-voltage system design and implementationAutoCAD/SolidWorks – Electrical drawingsAbility to work in a team with service engineers, software developers, and project managersPreferredBackground in the weighing industryExperience integrating with weighbridge indicators and peripheralsLocation & Start DateThe role will be based in Clane, Co. Kildare, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
