Sr. Farm Equipment Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Farm Equipment Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our agricultural and industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and diagnostic fault finding, as well as experience with maintenance of large scale agricultural and industrial equipment, and petrol and diesel engine vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize farm mechanical maintenance staff to ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company procedure.
- Train staff to ensure competent and sufficient numbers of maintenance staff are available for assigned farm sites.
- Ensure that all maintenance staff are organized, trained, and carry out all maintenance in accordance with company Maintenance and Safety procedures for all farm agricultural, industrial and poultry feeding machinery and equipment.
- Oversee routine and preventative maintenance of all agricultural, industrial and poultry feeding machinery and equipment within the Division.
- Monitor and assess the performance of all maintenance staff, recommend training as required, and liaise with suppliers to arrange warranty repairs.
- Report issues that affect the reliability and running costs of equipment, and arrange OEM training and access to required manuals for workshop staff.
- Update company manuals used for maintaining and servicing machinery, ensuring that workshop staff follow company manuals for servicing.
- Identify parts necessary to keep equipment running and manage inventory levels in the workshop central store.
- Arrange quotations from suppliers for the repair of equipment.
Requirements:
- 5 years + experience in an Agri/Plant Mechanic Type role
- Experience in managing a large-scale maintenance operation
- Level 6 Trade Cert at minimum requirement for this role
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnostic fault finding, and experience with maintenance of large scale agricultural and industrial equipment, and petrol and diesel engine vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills, influencing and person management skills, and ability to work under pressure with a high degree of confidence and decision-making capability.
