Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesInclude the following:The safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all plant equipment.Support efficient operations by monitoring equipment, controlling traffic and inspecting for abnormal operations.Required to operate and inspect equipment, record data, report accidents, equipment damage, malfunctions or trends which indicate possible trouble.Perform actions as directed to correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations.Perform PM maintenance tasks and assist with equipment repairs.Operate on a picking line.Sweep and clean the floor, roadways and paved areas of the site.Perform painting, cleanup work and various other housekeeping duties.Support the maintenance or operating groups as necessary.This position may require working overtime, and incidental or prolonged hours, resulting from unusual operating conditions or major overhauls.Perform other duties as assigned.Follow all company procedures and safety policies.Other duties may be required as instructed by management.QualificationsEducation and/or Experience:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Formal technical or apprentice training is desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals. Ability to speak and communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and other employees of the organization.Mathematical skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Certificates, licenses, registrations:CSCS card for Loader/Forklift/MEWP would be advantageous.Other skills and abilities:Ability to take appropriate safe action on his/her own initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.Work environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
