Financial AccountantOur client a leading Insurer are hiring a FinancialAccountant to join their Dublin team. This is initially being offered on a 9 month FTC with a view to extension. You'll play a key role in the company's financial reporting, planning, and governance, helping to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely financial information that supports decision-making at every level.About the RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting the company's monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting processes, including consolidation, expense management, and group reporting. The role offers broad exposure across finance, audit, and regulatory reporting activities, with opportunities to get involved in key projects and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage monthly and quarterly financial close processesOversee expense reporting, allocation, and budget vs. actual analysisSupport statutory audit processes and liaise with external auditorsPrepare management information reports including key performance and margin analysisAssist with budgeting and forecasting activitiesEnsure accurate and timely completion of group and regulatory reportingSupport Solvency II reporting for both Group and Solo entitiesMaintain robust finance procedures, documentation, and internal controlsContribute to ad hoc finance projects and process enhancementsSkills & ExperienceNewly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA)Big Four or top-tier professional services experience preferredExperience in financial services an advantageSolid knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAPExcellent analytical, organisational, and Excel skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independentlyWhats is on OfferA collaborative and supportive working cultureHybrid working model (Dublin city centre office)Exposure to complex financial operations within a regulated life insurance environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCompetitive salary €60,000 -€65,000 plus benefits packageContactTo discuss this role further or other accountancy jobs please contact Jean O'Donovan on or email
