Job Title: Lead Product Owner - (AI Transformation)

About the Role Hiring on behalf of a client seeking a Lead Product Owner to own a high-impact, multi-stream backlog on a flagship "Agentic AI" transformation programme for a major telecommunications provider. You'll drive the shift from legacy manual workflows to an intelligent, automated operating model powered by production-grade Generative AI, Autonomous AI Agents, and Digital Twin technology on Google Cloud Platform. This is a live, enterprise-scale delivery role spanning Fixed Access Engineering, Core Network Engineering, and Data Centre Sustainability - delivering measurable efficiency, sustainability, and operational advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and prioritise a complex, multi-domain product backlog (AI automation, platform engineering, infrastructure optimisation).
2. Act as the operational bridge between Business Analysts and Development teams.
3. Define, communicate, and evolve the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap.
4. Lead sprint planning, reviews, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
5. Validate completed work against strict acceptance criteria and quality gates.
6. Maximise product value through data-driven decisions and continuous prioritisation.
7. Manage expectations and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
8. Ensure compliance, regulatory alignment, and risk management across releases.
Requirements
9. Proven mastery of backlog grooming, dependency management, and ruthless prioritisation.
10. Deep expertise in Scrum and Kanban in complex, multi-team environments.
11. Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, technical tasks and acceptance criteria.
12. Experience managing cross-domain backlogs (AI/ML, Cloud, Data, Infrastructure).
13. High proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and roadmapping tools.
14. Decisive leadership with the ability to protect team focus and enforce quality standards.
15. Telecom domain knowledge (RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, Fixed Access) highly desirable.
16. Experience with Generative AI, Agentic Frameworks, Automation, or Data Centre sustainability initiatives advantageous.
