Our client provides a clinical consultancy service to the HSE and private hospitals on the recovery of unpaid, partially paid and pended private health insurance claims.
Role: This is a part time role working 3 days/week.
There is flexibility on which 3 days as long as they are consecutive.
The role involves reviewing clinical information and when appropriate writing appeal letters to private health insurers.
There would be a requirement to remain up to date with appropriate clinical practice and clinical guidelines.
An in depth understanding of health insurance rules, terms and conditions and their Schedules of Benefits is needed to perform the role.
Training on this will be provided to the successful candidate.
The work must be performed on-site in contracted hospitals which will involve travel to various hospital sites in the Dublin area.
This role is suited to qualified doctors who want to maintain their clinical knowledge but who want a change from working in a patient facing clinical environment Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a General Practitioner or hospital doctor The doctor must be registered on the Irish Medical Council and maintain CME.
Non-clinical medical indemnity is required and this will be re-imbursed by the company Experience within the Irish healthcare system is highly advantageous.
Experience in private health insurance is desirable IT proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive training process once recruited.
