Our client, a renowned structural and civil engineering design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their dynamic and expanding team. You will play a pivotal role in leading project design and management, overseeing a team of project technicians and junior engineers. Your ability to juggle multiple priorities and your commitment to excellence will be crucial. Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and management of projects, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery.
* Collaborate with local authorities and other engineering professionals to ensure compliance and project success.
* Engage with design teams and building contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
* Review and approve all project-related drawings and correspondence before issuance.
* Conduct site inspections and building appraisals to ensure standards are met.
* Ensure full implementation of ISO9000 quality procedures across all projects.
* Provide necessary information for monthly project review meetings.
* Participate in annual staff reviews to contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in educational, commercial, retail, and residential projects within a consulting engineering practice in Ireland or UK.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Level 8) or higher.
* Chartered status with IStructE or Engineers Ireland.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
