Job Title: Electrical Estimator
About the Role:
* Attend project kick-off meetings and site visits to oversee progress.
* Develop enquiry schedules outlining scope of works and required packages from tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.
* Identify necessary deliverables from Project Designers.
* Evaluate quotations from suppliers, addressing discrepancies with suppliers as needed.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities for projects using estimating software like Excel, Causeway, CCS Candy, and Kubus.
* Contribute to project risk assessments and attend risk meetings involving Estimators, Planning Engineers, Design Co-ordinators, and Client representatives.
* Participate in tender price settlement meetings with the tender team and Estimating Manager, also attending Tender Handover meetings with Estimators and the project team.
* Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to foster effective communication with key stakeholders, ensuring successful problem-solving and estimate development.
* Maintain submitted tenders by making amendments where applicable based on client feedback.
* Provide support and respond to tender-related queries from project personnel as needed.
* In conjunction with Contract Managers and Senior Management, review contract details relevant to the company's capacity to deliver under the contract.
* Coordinate with Business Development personnel and key tendering department staff regarding tender upload and submission.
* Work on various HV/MV/LV large-scale projects throughout the tendering process.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in an electrical contracting environment is essential.
* A relevant third-level degree and/or a trade background are required.
* A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role is necessary.
* Strong teamwork and genuine passion for employee development are crucial.
* Ability to work closely with engineering, procurement, and operational teams to build projects from start to finish.
* Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-functional team.
Package Details:
€50K-€75K dependent on experience and qualifications.
