We support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities in living their best life in a safe environment as Shift Supervisors. We offer flexible scheduling and boast a 10-percent internal promotion rate organization-wide.
This opportunity is available at our program located on 80th Road in Jamaica Estates, working Friday and Saturday from 11pm to 7am.
The salary for this position is $19.73 per hour.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will monitor and ensure that active treatment is provided to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring consumer safety and respect of consumer rights.
Your Responsibilities:
* Supervise and instruct Direct Support Specialists on shift
* Oversee the overall functioning of the facility during Program Director and Assistant Program Director absences.
* Maintain the physical condition of the residence, including agency vehicles, ensuring they are safe and sanitary.
* Manage client and agency funds and expenditures during shifts (petty cash, client monies, clothing monies, recreation etc.)
* Follow up on medication administration during shifts and after client medical appointments

Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred
* One year's experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons preferred
* Valid NYS Driver's license and ability to pass insurance criteria
* Preferred Certifications: AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR & First Aid
