Your new organisation is a Semi-State Utilities Body responsible for Ireland's key infrastructure. They operate nationwide, managing water and wastewater services for 31 local authorities under one national provider. The role is based on a Monday to Friday, 8-hour schedule, with a competitive salary in the €30,000 - €45,000 range. This position can be a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls as per the Inventory team processes.
* Comply with work safety procedures and participate in safety programmes, using appropriate personal protective equipment daily.
* Undertake health and safety training, including Safe Pass and Certified Construction Skills where relevant.
* Perform duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, including hazard identification, site risk assessments, and application of safe work procedures.
* Record all site matters, including accidents, incidents, and near misses, and complete corrective actions as needed.
* Work safely and intervene in unsafe activities.
* Review loads against Purchase Order requirements and record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
* Pick and assemble work orders accurately, ensuring stock is well-located and accessible.
* Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota and assist with stocktaking as required.
* Collaborate with internal teams to meet business needs.
* Operate relevant machinery and work independently.
* Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
Skills and Experience
* Secondary education or equivalent work experience.
* Experience in a warehouse or operation store environment.
* Knowledge of health & safety practices.
* IT skills for data entry, inventory management systems, MS Office, and ERP (Oracle) are advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in operating warehouse machinery preferred; training provided.
* Manual handling experience required; training provided.
* Effective time management and ability to prioritize.
* Ability to build good working relationships.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and processes.
* Full, clean Class B driving license.
* Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and Counterbalance Ticket.
