About The Role

Job description

A Kitchen Assistant Main Duties Include

* Carrying out basic cleaning tasks
* Collecting and washing up pots and pans etc
* Ensuring HACCP and cleaning regulations are adhered to at all times.
* Ensuring HACCP reports are completed daily
* Cleaning crockery & cutlery, also ensuring careful handling of delph and crockery to prevent damage and breakages
* Ensuring food preparation sites are clean and in a tidy manner at all times
* Ensuring the storeroom remains organised.
* Ensuring work surfaces, wash up areas, wash hand basins, floors and walls are always clean and sanitised.
* The removal and disposal of waste and recycling from the Kitchen together with the staff rooms to the appropriate and allocated disposal units.
* Ensure waste, recycling bins and disposal units are emptied regularly to prevent “over flowing”
* Ensure waste and recycling are disposed of in the correct manner.
* Ensure the yards located at the Lodge and the Castle are clean and tidy at all times.
* Ensuring all staff rooms are cleaned twice daily and are kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
* Ensuring condiments in staff rooms are well stocked at all times.
* All other ancillary duties
