Job Title: Financial Control Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for key elements of financial control and governance for the Northern Ireland division.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support on technical accounting matters, controls and governance.
2. Preparation and review of periodic and quarterly key balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Complete the quarterly MACSAC (internal control checklist).
4. Review of NI VAT return to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Fixed assets:
* Work with stakeholders to compile the budget and forecasts for capital expenditure and depreciation.
* Compete impairment reviews for assets and assess any risks.
* Provide support to Capex budget holders on business cases and payback calculations and support direct report in delivery of the Capital Acquisition Request (CAR) process and reporting.
6. Working capital management:
* Prepare the budget and forecasts for working capital, cash and associated KPIs.
* Provide periodic reporting on same including analytical commentary.
7. Intercompany Reconciliation:
* Reconciliation of intercompany accounts, including resolution and root cause analysis of any variances.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives in relation to intercompany.
8. Other responsibilities:
* Ensure direct report is supported to deliver in their role and achieve objectives.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation and seek opportunities to optimise core finance business processes.
