About the Role A leading Irish accountancy and advisory practice is seeking to appoint a Partner to join its growing leadership team in Waterford.
This newly created position is a key strategic role within the SME department, offering the opportunity to shape the direction of the practice, lead a talented team, and build long-term client relationships.
The role is ideal for an ambitious professional who is ready to step into partnership and drive growth within a dynamic and expanding firm.
Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and strategic direction to the SME Accounting & Advisory team.
Manage departmental workflow, KPIs, and staff development.
Oversee delivery of statutory accounts, audits, management accounts, and tax compliance.
Lead high-level advisory assignments, supporting clients with financial and strategic decisions.
Take responsibility for departmental billing and performance targets.
Build, manage, and expand a diverse portfolio of SME clients.
Play a central role in business development and practice growth.
Collaborate with other Partners and senior leaders to deliver on firmwide objectives.
Candidate Profile Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) with significant PQE in practice.
Proven track record of leadership at Director or Senior Manager level.
Strong knowledge of Irish tax, accounting, and auditing standards.
Demonstrated success in developing teams and managing client portfolios.
Commercially focused with the ability to drive business development.
Ambitious, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership abilities.
