Overview
Assurance - Corporate Reporting Services - Manager. The Corporate Reporting Services (CRS) team within Assurance provides expert technical advice on corporate reporting standards, with emphasis on IFRS Accounting Standards, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, and Irish and UK GAAP. The team supports engagement teams in delivering quality, consistent, and timely professional services, and is expanding focus to ESG reporting, covering a broader scope than financial reporting.
As a member of the Corporate Reporting Services team working on financial and sustainability reporting you will have the chance to learn and develop new skills while contributing to the Firm’s quality service objectives by becoming a trusted subject matter expert within the assurance practice.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and advice to assurance (audit and non-audit) client engagement teams on corporate reporting topics.
* Address complex financial reporting topics related to IFRS Accounting Standards and Irish/UK GAAP.
* Address complex sustainability reporting topics related to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, ESRSs, and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.
* Analyse the consistency of client reporting in the financial statements with other corporate reporting.
* Track corporate reporting developments and requirements from Irish, European, and global regulators.
* Participate in Global CRS network calls and meetings and liaise with senior Global team members on consultation topics and technical papers.
* Contribute to development of internal practice guides and materials; research and present technical papers and consultations on financial and sustainability reporting topics.
* Develop and deliver financial and sustainability reporting training to internal and external audiences.
* Perform pre-issuance technical reviews of financial and sustainability reports for large clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Five or more years in audit, technical accounting, or similar roles.
* Hold a professional qualification from a prescribed accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, AIA or equivalent).
* Practical experience in applying IFRS Accounting Standards and/or UK and Irish GAAP in financial services entities is an advantage.
* Technical expertise or practical experience in IFRS Accounting Standards or sustainability reporting is an advantage.
* Ability to understand complex transactions and business drivers, and to develop solutions based on solid facts and research within a commercially sound framework.
* Assertive, flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a desire for learning; strong leadership skills and ability to build trust within teams.
