Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description
Key Role in Commercial Management of Apartment Scheme:
* Commercial managers are responsible for overseeing all financial and contractual aspects from procurement through to final account. In this role, you will play a key part in the commercial management of a prestigious new apartment development in Cork.
* Effective commercial management requires a thorough understanding of cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of these processes to ensure the project stays on track.
Responsibilities:
* Manage tender packages, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration
* Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to meet commercial targets
* Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
* Prepare monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts
* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations
* Collaborate closely with the site team to achieve cost efficiency and value engineering
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting
* Proven experience in commercial management, including tender packages and contract administration
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
