About the opportunity:
Our Risk Consulting Department is looking for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to join our team. This role will be based in the Cork Office and will report directly to the Risk Consulting Director. This full-time role will be 37.5 hours per week.
As an Assistant Manager, you can expect your duties to include:
* Liaising between your own team members within Risk Consulting, clients, partners, and management.
* Scheduling and timetabling risk consulting work and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Supervising, training, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
* Building and developing a team over time once the candidate is fully operational in their role.
* Reviewing processes, systems, and controls to identify weaknesses.
* Staying up to date with best practices and current developments relevant to our clients.
* Preparing high-standard reports detailing recommended improvements or changes for Director and Partner review.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Ideally holds a relevant professional qualification with post-qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or IIA).
* Strong internal control, risk management, and internal audit experience.
* Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Valid Irish work permit and full Irish driving licence preferred.
