Who should apply?
This role will suit an experienced data professional currently operating at Manager or Senior Manager level within a large organisation, looking to step into a strategic and leadership-focused position.
10+ years’ experience in data, IT, or related fields
Strong background in data warehousing, big data ecosystems, and ETL/ELT processes
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Proven ability to design and implement data strategies and governance frameworks
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level
Leadership experience with a track record of managing teams and complex environments
Role and Reporting Lines
Reporting into senior IT leadership, this role will take ownership of enterprise data delivery and governance across the organisation:
Data Strategy – Drive and evolve the organisation’s data strategy, ensuring data is leveraged as a key business asset
Governance & Risk – Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards in collaboration with senior management
Data Quality – Oversee data quality, consistency, and lifecycle management across all systems
Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
Technology Leadership – Lead decisions around data architecture, tooling, and platforms including MDM and integration technologies
Delivery Oversight – Ensure effective data acquisition, transformation, and distribution across all consuming applications
Vendor Management – Manage external data vendors, SLAs, and licensing while optimising data usage
Analytics & Insights – Support the development of dashboards and performance reporting to drive better business decisions
