Job Title: Audit Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with internal audits, including planning stages, fieldwork, interacting with auditees, coordinating audit findings with management, and drafting preliminary reports.
* Manage special audit projects as needed.
* Contribute to the continuous auditing process within the Internal Audit Plan.
* Participate in the quarterly review of audit issues, collaborating with management to update statuses of past findings and audit resolved issues.
* Draft clear, concise, and timely working papers in line with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for review by senior audit leaders.
* Prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations, in close collaboration with senior management.
* Promote best practices within the organization, emphasizing continuous improvement and raising awareness about internal controls, risk, and corporate governance.
* Develop a thorough understanding of finance, compliance, and market risk across the group.
* Track audit progress, ensuring alignment with expected timelines and scope.
* Manage projects to completion, escalating issues when necessary.
* Conduct audit reviews across different business lines.
* Utilize leading audit processes and tools, including data analytics, to enhance audit effectiveness.
Requirements:
* Bachelor degree.
* Professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor).
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an audit environment, preferably within the financial services sector.
* Experience in controls testing and/or internal auditing is desirable.
* Experience of managing audits/projects.
