Financial Operations Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to support the finance team of a growing and forward-thinking business. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial operations, preferably within manufacturing or a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
\

1. Support month-end reporting and day-to-day financial operations directly with the Finance Manager and wider finance team.
\
2. Bank reconciliations and preparation/submission of VAT returns are key responsibilities.
\
3. Manage creditors ledger: process invoices, reconcile supplier accounts, and prepare payments.
\
4. Oversee debtors ledger: allocate payments, chase outstanding debts, and issue statements.
\
5. Credit control: maintain good relationships with customers while ensuring timely payments.
\
6. Assist with management accounts preparation and financial reporting.
\
7. Maintain general ledger and perform reconciliation tasks.
\
8. Possess strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Sage, or similar).
\
9. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication skills required.
\
10. Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or IATI) with 2+ years of experience in a similar finance role.
\
11. Proactive, driven, and eager to learn and grow with the business.
\
