Griffin Global Asset Management is looking to hire an AVP Risk to lead the risk team, in line with the company's strategic plans. The role is suitable for candidates with 5-7 years' experience in the aircraft leasing industry.The AVP Risk will play a key role in leading credit assessments for lessee and counterparty approvals, and will be responsible for maintaining relationships with customer airlines. The individual will form an integral part of the risk team with key responsibilities.The AVP Risk will collaborate across functions, including marketing, contracts, legal, pricing and trading, ensuring that the company's risk objectives are met. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment will be key competencies required for the successful candidate. The position requires strong credit knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior airline personnel.The role will be located onsite in Dublin, Ireland.Key Responsibilities:Lead credit assessments for lessee and counterparty approvals across regionsConduct financial and strategic due diligence, including senior stakeholder engagementPrepare internal credit memos and present recommendations to the senior management teamMonitor market, jurisdictional and macroeconomic news flow. Provide regular and timely updates to senior management as neededBuild new and maintain existing relationships with airline counterpartiesProvide support to the pricing, trading, technical and commercial teams with input on relevant risk datapointsAssist in producing presentations and/or reports for any risk related projectsQualifications / Job Requirements:5-7 years' prior experience in aircraft leasing, investment banking or buy side, with financial analysis and credit experience necessary, preferably with a focus on the airline sectorHighly proficient in Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and financial modellingVery strong written and verbal communication skills are neededStrong presentation and interpersonal skills, coupled with an eagerness to learnTrack record of being self-motivated and the willingness to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environmentProven project management skills with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work on several different projects when requiredFlexibility and willingness to travel, when requiredCompetitive salary and benefits package available.Potential candidates should send their CV with a cover note setting out the reasons for their interest in the role to
