Sean Loughnanes Galway Ltd is looking for a Quality Officer to join its team.
The Quality Officer will help assist the Quality team with all matters relating to the production area and other areas of the business. They will liaise with Production Shift Supervisors and relevant individuals in order to carry out their responsibilities to the fullest.
This is an day shift position 7.00am until 3.30pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work as a team member and discuss issues openly with the team.
· Oversee the production of SafeFood documents on the system and report if not filled out correctly, firstly to the Line Supervisor and then to the Production Manager.
· Report details of any issues to the Quality Manager if required.
· Evaluation of written SOP's to activities being carried out.
· Responsible for the correct running of the glass and Perspex audits.
· Conduct daily hygiene audits and monitor chill temperature.
· Conduct gluten free tests if required.
· Assist with metal detection sensitivities.
· Carry out quality/production checks during the day.
· Communicate with all people across the plant.
· Carry out training of our internal standard procedures for operators.
· Attend meetings and address/communicate any issues with supervisors and management.
The successful candidate will have:
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
· Experience working in a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of BRC and HACCP standards.
