We have over 50 employees working in Ireland and Spain.Role DescriptionSDS design engineers is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Retail Division. This is a full-time role based in our Galway office. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing retail projects from conception to completion. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for Project Management and Design Management. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicate with stakeholders, and provide technical expertise and guidance.Project ManagementManage workflow for retail construction projects reporting to SDS Director. Project tracker with key dates and resources.Client liaison on existing and future retail projects – Tender & Construction stages.Complete early-stage project review and design intent on all retail projects.Site attendance as contracted, key milestones, specifically groundworks.Review pre-construction issue information with SDS Director prior to client issue.Support Clients directly in the civil and structural consultancy role.Project review at close with SDS Director.Design ManagementLead the civil/structural design team between Ireland and Spain on retail projectsAgree and manage project delivery milestones.Assign from the above resources to support engineers/architects in individual projects. Monitor their efficiency in responding to Clients on RFIs, general correspondence and production/issue of information.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field10 years + experience in a structural and civil design consultancy.Some site experience would be beneficial but not essential.Engineering Management and Project Management skillsExperience in Project Engineering and Construction ManagementKnowledge of Construction practices and processesStrong organizational and leadership abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasksProficiency in relevant software and toolsQEHS MS ResponsibilitiesComply with SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) Management System requirements, i.e. perform work according to process documents and procedures, and maintain document information/complete department forms/records as required.Understand and apply the SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policy statements in all aspects of work.Contribute towards achieving company's SDS QEHS objectives.Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.The above statements are intended to describe the essential responsibilities of persons assigned to this role.
