Maintenance Engineer Job Description
The role of Maintenance Engineer involves leading and overseeing maintenance and project activities within the factory. This includes managing scheduled maintenance activities, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring compliance with site and safety requirements.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and executing scheduled maintenance activities to maximize plant efficiency and uptime.
* Collaborating with production teams to align engineering activities with production demands.
* Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors to ensure compliance with site, company, and safety requirements.
You will also be involved in preventative maintenance and systems management, including documenting maintenance activities, updating records in the CMMS system, and prioritizing daily tasks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards.
Furthermore, you will uphold health, safety, and environmental standards in all tasks, support the management of the HACCP plan, and verify all completed works are tested to meet duty conditions before returning equipment to production.
Additionally, you will provide guidance to staff on engineering best practices, identify training needs within the team, develop clear engineering instructions, and promote a proactive attitude across the engineering department.
This role requires:
* Proven experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* A strong understanding of maintenance management systems, ideally with experience using CMMS tools.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate across departments.
* Proficient in PC-based applications and administrative functions.
* Knowledge of safety and compliance standards, with experience managing HACCP requirements a plus.
