Job Title
The Clinical Nurse Manager I Day Ward role is a key position within the point of care team, responsible for leading the clinical management of the Ambulatory Day ward.
About the Role
This 29 bedded unit specialises in a range of day case procedures in general surgery and diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, dental, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, urology and general surgery. The Clinical Nurse Manager I works closely with the CNMII to provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership to the point of care staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the CNMII in providing patient care, ensuring the highest professional standards using an evidence based, care planning approach.
* Provide professional and clinical leadership to the point of care staff.
* Work with the CNMII to coordinate, assess, plan, deliver and review service user care by all staff in designated area.
Requirements
Be registered in the General Division of the live Register of Nurses kept by NMBI. A minimum of three years' experience as a staff nurse in acute hospital setting is required.
Desirable: At least one year's experience in a management position in a surgical setting is desirable but not essential. It is also desirable to have completed a recognised post-registration course in nurse management.
